A Shitty Day

Sub topic: 3rd World ‘Mentality’ Problems

I have to be honest; I was inspired to write this whilst visiting the washroom and this ‘inspiration’ I’ve experienced was strong enough to trigger me into write this piece almost immediately; let me begin.

In my years of working I have/had to frequent or work in numerous corporate offices/ suites. Needless of any explanation, the very air, the architectural designs of the buildings, the security systems etc etc were to say the least, classy. Today, nevertheless, we will focus more on the ‘gents’.
Despite the elegant and posh appearance these buildings display; together with the air of ‘executivity’ portrayed by proud execs walking in possibly designers clothes— all these buildings have one thing in common; Shitty/stinky toilets. Now how can that be? You might ask and yes it would be impossible for suites to have failed/dysfunctional lavatories right? Well I meant it literally, I am trying to draw your attention to the numerous shit and the shit stains left behind by people who uses the toilet. There I said it. The elephant is out in the room and glaring with promiscuity.

Whyy?!?! Is the most common thing I question myself when I see excrete or shit stains left in the freaking toilet!  You know, I always try to enter toilet booths with a certain amount of positivity and almost always due to my hopes for a clean toilet, I feel my positivity going awry, gradually fading away. From being a person who views the glass as half full I have turned into someone who views the glass as full off excrete. Nowadays all I fantasize about is on shoving these culprits’ faces into the shit/shit stain and stink they have so nonchalantly left behind. You know, let them be seen as the shit stain that they are.

Apparently they’re too good to clean up after their own; they need others to do it for them. There is no integrity or empathy in these people.

Think about it, if you’re that disgusted with your own excrete, did you have the slightest bit of thoughtfulness one needs to reflect on how others would be even more disgusted and revolted than you are?? Obviously not! You shallow, dirty from the inside…person!

Yes, there are always cleaners around, cleaning and mopping the washroom every couple of hours or even every hour or just there on standby just in case some corporate looking, designer clothes wearing douchebag leaves some stain behind. These cleaners, are they not human too? Do you think they like to smell and look at defecates?  Have you ever thought about it in this light? That they’re already living a difficult life, why not make their life just a little easier by practicing basic hygiene and cleaning up after our own shit?

I am once again really-really disgusted with humanity and its sheer shallowness. These outbursts, normally lead me to sort of, ‘do something about it’ years back, I was so angered by people littering and throwing things out of their cars, I created a group in facebook called, ‘Stop Littering’ some months after that another incident led to another outburst that also ended up with me creating a different fb group. Not to worry, I don’t think I would create a group that calls people to take care of their shit.

Anyways, we are lacking in basic values, things that you don’t need to be told to do, things that are common sense. Our principles, consciences, morality all have no standing against the standing of having the most money. Humanity has depleted into this money crazed beings that nothing else matters anymore. As long as you have money, you are viewed as a clean and a noble person.
People need to be educated on having empathy. Selfishness might seem best for you, but it isn’t. It never is.

Lastly, I would like to blame this education system for failing miserably in instilling basic values and for failing in nurturing kids who are now parents—who are continuing the failing tradition greatly by failing in parenting…starting from an education system that teaches one to be a selfish, narcissistic individual who’s only goal is to get good grades which when translated into adulthood, programs one to be selfish and shallow individuals programmed by TV programs and whose only goal is to get more money.

One of the many consequences of the failed system is the emergence of individuals who are unhygienic and people who don’t care much for the stains they leave behind and on how it might affect others.

Stand Guard - Vanguard

Singularity, conformity, anonymity, tragedy, mystery, bread, wholemeal bread, dread, wide spread, jam spread, scared…regret, dared, scarred, marred, marked. He was dark so they laughed, target, they bragged and he was dragged—read, he read, he tread, they thread, apparently he was a threat, they didn’t like his trait, they spat, berate; he stared at his fate, great, he was late, against the state, the society observing its’ slate, he was preyed, he stayed still in a confused state, finally came to his senses, he prayed.

Ah! I am tired of ignorance that converts into arrogance, what is it with this cocksuredness? This look you portray filled with mockingness, surely it is a weakness; yet you think it is some sort of blessedness? Surely you have failed to dwell into the emptiness, which is hidden in the depths of your chest, enveloped by darkness, though all it takes is a hint of brightness, so why not work on righteousness?

Checkmate! Bring me the cheque mate, let’s check the date, it’s not too late, still don’t procrastinate, come with deeds, good deeds continuous like water falling down like beads, don’t put too much on stake…people, they forsake, you do things for a good sake, for God’s sake, good on you mate, may you be blessed before you fall dead.

It Doesn't Work That Way

Lies and deceits have superseded, it has succeeded in being prevalent and ever since it has grown rampant and from the looks of it, it appears as if it cannot be impeded.  It seems too potent, too dominant.

But for the normal working man, the enslaved man, the poor family man, it seems like it has taken its toll, just like it was foretold, what can he uphold? He worries and cries, but to what goal?

Poor tormented soul, his soul was sold the very moment he was introduced to this black hole of a world. Now grown up, these are his troubled companions, a repetitive visitor, his everyday thoughts, his worries—now let’s give it some thought and perhaps this could be something to reflect on:  the many overly priced tolls, petrol, car prices, house prices, road tax, income tax, insurance, accidents, traffic jams, introducing GST, bank loans, bank interests, bills, bills, bills, crazy drivers, restaurants, food prices, groceries, meat, to eat, to feed, to nurture and lead.

All of these deeds, stems from greed, the devils seed has flourished; it sucks the souls of men and empty their dreams, turning them into farm animals akin to sheep’s. A brainwashed society, a shallow and superficial community; filled with disgruntled selfish people wandering aimlessly, meekly, sheeply, wondering on the source to their misery …what a vicious cycle. What can you expect from a third world country? How about some humanity? Put a stop to capitalism, cronyism and just evil misdeeds?

When will we start to understand, that life is not about accumulating wealth by oppressing and wronging others? It doesn’t work that way, son. Happiness doesn’t work that way.

Pandemonium Inside

The issue arises, when someone misuses, misuses the trust and creates distrust, causing sincerity to rust. So please stop playing with trust or else, eventually all you are doing is paving a lifelong journey of scars.

Today I saw death, it laid in front of me, I didn’t want to look at it but I couldn’t help it, in fear I took a few short glances at it. Here I am thinking of the future and working for it but right in front of me death was looking at me. I tried to brush the thought of away. What else can you do? Entertaining the thought just makes one more flustered. Therefore I decided to close my eyes. In a matter of seconds I was engulfed by some petty and superficial thoughts.

The best advise. I repeat, the best advise one has given me on our dearest and loveable opposite sex is that, well this was his exact words, “You have to try to understand them. It's not easy because they don't even understand themselves.” At first I laughed at it, these days I get grim thinking about it.

I shouldn’t prolong, because when I do then you will obviously think it’s too long, so relax it won’t be too long, you think you're strong, well I too shall not be high-strung for long, in hope there will no more forlorn and when it is done...well...and now I shall be gone~

Douche Gabbana

I just wanted to post something. So let’s see…I just had a heavy lunch for lunch. It was awesome, someone paid for it obviously. My chest hurts for some reason; causing a slight/minor irritation upon inhaling.
Someone also gave me a watch as a present. I was asking him the time and he gave me the watch. It is easily the most expensive present I have received, oh wait I spoke too soon, on second thought it wasn't. I should probably try and ask someone on how many bedrooms are there in their house, who knows?

Tomorrow I have to help someone, it’s not like I don’t want to but I am lazy. However, I think I will anyway. Although it will be for the whole day and although I have to skip work and travel across states.

These days I keep getting calls to attend interviews, these days I have to sacrifice my leaves to attend interviews. It’s a process albeit something we have to go through I suppose. On a brighter note, I think I most probably have been successful in one of them, one that I had interest in, and one with prospect. Though seeing that it isn't official yet, it worries me. I am feeling slightly paranoid-ish. Although it’s too soon to state, but attending interviews eventually pays off?

I wanted to wish people, “Selamat Hari Raya” but Hari Raya has gone. I’d like to say I was being occupied by some progressive stuff. As usual I keep finding new ways to waste my time. Don’t worry; none are as interesting as you might think. After all I am comfortable with myself. I might not be a fan of myself but being alone has its perks.

I keep buying fishes, small ones, big ones, cheap ones, slightly more expensive ones. They all have one thing in common. They all die within a few weeks, some after a few days. I have started to take notice that…after all that I might not be the best person to rear fishes. Therefore last weekend I went and brought home some lobsters. They seem to be doing fine, for now.

I hate it that I am ageing though I also hate it when people think that I am still in my teens. Yea, I hate this, I hate that bla bla bla black sheep.

So, it got me thinking, my new job if I were to gain employment with them. It would be a complete change of lifestyle. I know it will change me. My concern is how it will change me. Though of course I hope to change for the better and become a wiser & cooler person than I already am, right? That’s what I thought.
So here is to hoping for the best.  I hate to change into a douche bag. I hate douche bags, I would hate it even more to end up as one. Oh I hope I didn’t jinx anything.

Finally to put an end to my precious ramblings, the world is changing, at a rate that cannot really be rated? The earth is getting more and more irate? That was me trying to sound cool by trying to make things rhyme. Well the world is irrational, that was me trying to do that again. The world is unreadable? One moment you think it’s going to end soon, the next you think you’re going to live on forever. I don’t know, for a start let’s just hope we don’t/are not douche bags. Seeing that almost everyone are selfish douche bags these days. REFRAIN FROM BEING A DOUCHE BAG!!! Being nice makes one happier.

Tests

Currency,
Proving more and more of a sovereign,
Appeases and pleases,
Or so it may seem,
That could be what we deem,
Seeing that we are merely beings,
Programmed by TV screens,
Money,
An enabler, a motivator, a connector…
The divider, between the wealthy and the poor,
Ah money! You elevate and you slump,
You lump them in the slum,
You label and you crumb,
Of opportunities and of circumstances,
Money decides whether one becomes smart and intelligent or dumb and illiterate,
Would Socrates be Socrates if he was of the slaves?
Would he, if he was from a different social grade?
Though how are we to blame?
We were brought up in a society that manipulates the brain,
Billions of lives have become slaves,
Petty men weighing the gold on their plates,
A culture that discriminates,
Injustice and intolerance,
A test for the vagrant,
The weak and insignificant,
The cage, we were put in,
Stop looking at a distance,
Search within,
May we earn and gain wisdom,
There is no escapism,
One has to face the system,
Despite the disdains and the condescension’s,
The wise man, holds his own,
Disregarding the society,
Who has forgotten,
That we are fellow humans,
He lives in solitude,
creates an imaginary island,
Nonetheless, let this not be forgotten,
This world is a test,
No matter how much I detest,
It attests to test,
Life,
What a splendid test!

Nur

What is life but circumstances?
Followed by consequences,
Of what you have done in such circumstances,
Though at times it remains dark in dreadfulness,
We might not always make the right choices,
And although at times we repeat the same mistakes,
Keep in mind, we are merely human,
Always weak and vulnerable,
So let’s live life despite the circumstances,
Focus on the good and remain in truth,
Being sincere and earnest to each other,
Surely one day our effort will come into flower,
We will shine and transcend and go beyond the spheres,
Our faces shining and smiling brightly,
Enveloped by an awe-inspiring silhouetting radiance.

Sight

Remember, we are souls…(that much is agreeable?)
That we are souls i.e. spiritual beings,
 Unseen like the wind but felt like the breeze;
Unseen like the thoughts but visible through the act of thinking,
A spirit cannot attain happiness or peace by material means.
They are of separate entities or of different dimensions.
An unseen soul achieves attainment through spirituality.
Whereas a physical body gets satiated by the physical food he eats.
This soul is weary,
Of shallowness and human debauchery,
Though for your sake, knock on your insights,
Sincerely I hope you have insight,
Hopefully you awaken insight,

For it is totally necessary to regain our sight.
I pretty much like this beautiful hadith, therefore I thought, let this be a sort of a forewarning to myself that whenever the desire to lie arises I would completely shut it off and speak the truth instead. Well we can only aspire and do so much. Though, we have to start somewhere..

The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “Honesty certainly leads to goodness, and goodness leads to paradise. Truly, a man keeps speaking the truth until he is inscribed as being true through and through. And lying leads to going wrong, and going wrong leads to hell. Truly, a man lies and lies until he is inscribed as being a liar through and through” (Muslim, 4.2012–13: 2607. S).

Egocentricity

I am feeling somewhat queasy; dizzy which is making me feel uneasy. Sure vertigo sounds cool… until you have it. Then it’s just a matter of constantly dealing with being nauseous and grogginess. I am just pushing myself to write something so I can post it.

I’ve never been a very healthy eater. Perhaps I should consider the act of eating healthier more seriously. I should start by rejecting soft drinks. There’s always some kind of feast or free food being offered/presented and I am not someone who says no to food being offered. Call me cheap I see it as being appreciative.

Egocentric, if there is one word to define fellow humans, it would be egocentric. Maybe I am being eccentric? However this being of egocentric-ness is toxic. Alas, as they say we are all trapped and stressed to a point where one is more prone to become egocentric. Let us turn away from being inconsiderate and start by being moderate.

Are you a visionary? Someone who looks beyond the physical realm? Someone who is not too short sighted nor someone who is desperate for acceptance. The acceptance of the arrogant and ignorant is of no value nor will it result to happiness.

Okay I am having a headache. This should be sufficient. I came to rant and rant I have. Ha-ha.

Knot in a not

What are these senses?
I guess I had enough of these nonsense’s
What consensus?
Who’s consent?
And why now resent?
These all led to confinement,
Of the trustworthy and the deceitful,
Life and senses,
What about sincerity?
Idealistic notions,
Bring about the erasers,
I guess it is what it seems,
Guess again,
Nothing is what it seems,
Streams, dreams and after all that,
He is left grim,
Grimace, no put a smile on your grim,
Esteemed at being discarded and stained,
Lo! However so,
It goes on,
Let us get on with a good stride,
It is too soon to give in,
May we all be smiling,
May we all be left with peace and esteem,
So despite all the stings,
As painful as it may seem,
Let’s stand and keep working,
After all,
We are leading our dreams.

Circle

A circle,
Resisting in circles,
To endure or to concur,
Concurring to the laws of a timid culture,
What’s with this social order?
Creating so much duress
Ensuring everyone is stressed.
Who’s conquest?
What quest?
This test,
So much to detest,
What is ever enough!?

Look for the light,
A tiny light is sufficient to enliven a dying heart
Study your purpose?
Come on, put some emphasis,
Start thinking of the well being of the spirit and soul.

To be superior or inferior?
Humble or arrogant?
Who do you live to impress?
Farm animals?
Society and the string pullers?
The puppeteers?

Come,
Choose a path,
Upon death,
We’ll be answerable,
On the path we stepped.
May our hearts be blessed with vision,
To tread this mission,
A path engaged in submission,
That leads to fulfillment,
One that ends with peace and other attainment.

A Message

Ask anyone...no matter what their beliefs; a believer or an atheist—whatever he is;

If there is one thing a human can be certain about, it is death.

If only we, with genuine interest or with a proper amount of curiosity, take some time and ponder on the eventual, nearing existence called death....will we then be able to think on how little power and control we have over our lives?

Ironically the thought of death never cross our minds...we are fully aware that we are not immortal but it doesn't occur to us that death will come to us sooner or later.

Are we too consumed over life? I know I am.

Though I wished I’d be more consumed with happiness and my mind and heart engaging in serenity and peace. Sadly, that which consumes the mind is often bleak.

Back to the subject, again if we ponder on this matter, it'll lead to us thinking on how precious time is. Especially in today’s world where time seems to be moving faster and faster; it seems there’s even evidence that the world’s rotation too is spinning more and faster than it used to.

Having said that, even before death if one lives long enough he/she has to entertain the prospect of facing old age; old age also means being prone to sickness and weaknesses.

Everyone at one point of their lives has asked, ‘what is life?’ though sadly that curiosity fades away, in most cases, they say, ‘I've grown up’. Ironically upon reaching adulthood that curiosity diminishes. They have jobs, ambitions and responsibilities. Who has time for these silly questions? Eventually they succumb to an endless cycle of repetition. Enslaving their lives into a poisoned system designed by evil people; entangled in superficiality and shallowness which leads man into worshipping materialism and his life busied and entangled with things that are merely looks and feels good on the surface.

Sadly or should we say fairly enough, he doesn't or will never realize that which he has accomplished will never fill the emptiness in his heart. He will forever be looking to satiate his hunger for a glimpse of peace and he will find numerous ways to escape and he will find them in many forms of escapism's. Alas! Only but for a short moment will he manage to char his mind with expensive intoxicants or deterrents, then he resumes a life that is void of any peacefulness or calmness.

Let’s use this example, we witness every day, those who are wealthier are more prone to proving their prowess, abusing their power and wanting more and more. This is not a trait of a happy or satisfied person; instead it is the characteristic of a deeply troubled and unhappy person who constantly needs to prove his worth to others.

One who worship himself and is a slave to his desires. What can he achieve, when the spirit/soul doesn't recognize currencies or luxuries or anything in physical form?

These days, being selfish, self-centered and narrow minded is so common that it is the norm; it is the accepted way of life for most. We speak of calamities but what is a bigger calamity than a noble human capable of thinking succumbing to the ways that are lower than animals? Mentally corrupt, a being that transgresses and takes advantage of others weaknesses. Worse still the world is controlled by a small group of powerful people puppeteering the lives of the masses.
.
.
.
I didn't choose to come into existence, still I exist, if I had a choice…though to even to think of having a choice it-self is almost impossible to imagine. I was put into existence hence I exist. Now, ever since I started thinking on the meaning of existing, existence, on life, on the world, etc.. The very significance of being placed in a horrid place such as the earth itself is an indication of how powerless and weak a human is. Though he has been given instructions and been given guides to overcome this earth and its deceitfulness.

I now quote from a book I am reading, “But man is a limited being. His position in the universe is infinitesimally small. The astronomers tell us the farthest star of our solar system, known as millets, is at the distance of several thousand light years from the earth. (The speed of light is one hundred and eighty six thousand miles per second, and a light year is the distance covered by light in one year’s travel). They also tell us that there are millions of suns and solar systems like ours in the universe. Now what is the position of our planet in the vast universe? It cannot be more than a speck. What can the position of man be in this speck? Not even a dot or drop in the ocean! Now this dot or drop is out to explore and unearth the realities, secrets and wonders of the universe. Not only that, he is out to know the Creator as well! Can that be possible? Yes, it is possible only if he is prepared to utilize the spark of light in himself, which when set ablaze, works like a spaceship which carries him far beyond the limits of time and space into the blissful domains of Divine Proximity, Divine Presence and Divine Union. Here man in endowed with divine attributes of power and knowledge, knows the secrets of Creation and is able to see the whole universe as a speck lying before him…”
Excerpt taken from, “Islam & Sufism”.Written by Maulana Wahid BakkashRabbani.

I suppose one really learns about life as he grows. How to deal with people, how and what nature is and how dependent of a creature mankind is, how we are so similar yet so different etc. etc. As one grows up he also learns more about himself and his purpose. Sadly, most people stop at a very low level. Caught up in a race, a trap, debts, expectations etc. etc. he turns into one who believes in a philosophy where one solely lives for himself. Again, unfortunately the majority of people in existence today are of this group, sadder still the people who are in power and who govern us are too from this group, at least the lot of them. I have drifted off from the subject again.

In regards to the groups or level of people, we shall use Kierkegaard’s sphere of existence, it consists of three: the aesthetic/material level followed by the ethical sphere of existence and the religious sphere of existence.  Ask yourself this question, where are you?

For century’s mankind have searched for meaning and a purpose. Let us hope that those who were and who are sincerely seeking the truth, find it and by doing so attain the secrets of life and find peace within.

As for those like me who are still struggling and have their ups and downs—let’s be consistent in our search and never give up. For those who seek for the love of his Creator in sincerity and in humility will never fail. For God is all encompassing-ly Most Merciful, Most Compassionate.

I end with this phrase, "My God! What kind of fountain is the fountain of love, of which I tasted but one drop and wept a river"

May peace be unto you.

Forever?

An Eternity,
 Perpetuity, endlessness and timelessness,
Can we imagine space without time?
We can never fathom the idea of ‘forever’
What is infinity?
.
.
.
Though, as we have lived and continue living this life,
Have we ever entertained the thought?
That we could be dead at any time?
We think we live eternally,
Our desires insatiable,
We keep desiring and longing,
Hoarding and getting bored,
Nothing is ever pleasing,
 That much is true?
Some say, the reason we think that way is because,
The soul is eternal,
Hence the mind never thinks of dying;
We don’t think that we could die,
Though ironically,
The concept of ‘forever’,
Is something irrational,
Though we continue living,
Never thinking of our departure,
Thinking we will live on forever.

Surat Al-`AÅŸr

By (the Token of) Time (through the ages)

Verily Man is in loss,

Except such as (those who) have Faith,

and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth,

and of Patience and Constancy.

Al-Layl

By the night as it envelops;
And by the day as it appears in brightness;
And by Him Who created male and female;
Certainly, your efforts and deeds are diverse (different in aims and purposes);
As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him,
And believes in Al-Husna.
We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness).
But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient.
And gives the lie to Al-Husna;
We will make smooth for him the path for evil;
And what will his wealth benefit him when he goes down (in destruction).
Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance,
And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world).
Therefore I have warned you of a Fire blazing fiercely (Hell);
None shall enter it save the most wretched,
Who denies and turns away.
And Al-Muttaqun (the pious and righteous) will be far removed from it (Hell).
He who spends his wealth for increase in self-purification,
And have in his mind no favor from anyone for which a reward is expected in return,
Except only the desire to seek the Countenance of his Lord, the Most High;

He surely will be pleased (when he will enter Paradise).

Servitude

The poor servant,
Strives to grasp wisdom
But he has not enough intelligence and experiences
To reach a state,
When even during calamities
The heart stays in peace and ensues calmness
Though in his current state;
Even during stillness,
He feels uneasiness, guilt, pain and all sorts of aching
They say, his heart is empty,
It has not known sincerity and doesn’t know the meaning of piety
What a pity,
Sad, poor and empty!
.
.
.
The poor servant an upshot/consequence of a cruel society
In an environment where people are judged by merchandises and appearances
The more wealth the more respect, friends and wives
At times he questions his luck,
Though he is reminded, everything is fated
He needs to learn more about gratitude
Every night he goes to sleep a servant,
Who is humbled with destitute,
In many ways he is better than he who goes to sleep
Thinking he’s self sufficient,
Bragging about existentialism,
On how he created his own kingdom,
Where he is always praised,
Yet he lives in a daze.
The poor servant too,
Dreams of a kingdom,
An environment inhabited by the wise filled with wisdom,
Where love in turn becomes predominant,
A transcendental realm in which the air itself is peace,
In which each wishes for the other to be in ease.

Hub

I keep pressing the esc button on my keyboard. Hoping that there’ll be some sort of a relief or release from the several cages of confinement that pains the soul. Though all that happens, happens for a reason…there is no more water in this detention. A country rich with water is having water crisis. A country that was known for its green is now polluted; the air we breathe is congested. So much I wanted to pour out my expressions but there hasn’t been any rain pour.  What could it be, what will tomorrow bring while I am busy sheeping, while I am lying on the bed sleeping? Daydreaming about amazing things because in real life, well you are not in amazement; Rather it feels like being in a maze with too many limitations placed onto you.  Despite all the whineries (whining) I need to be reminded that love is the remedy. In times of pain and difficulties, we put front our complaints to the most compassionate, the most merciful…

Kind One

Oh kind one,
What are you doing?
Where are you going?
What is it that you’re longing for?
Have you not considered your true feelings?
Do you not sense the pain in these probing?
Over and over he planted the seedlings,
Kept planting, watering and delicately nurturing,
Despite the unpredictability and the roughness in the air,
The weather unusual and unstable in behavior,
Sometimes it gets unusually cold,
Sometimes it gets intensely hot,
In worse times we are tested with severe haze,
That is both smoky and suffocating indeed.
Oh you, delicate one,
What are you doing?
Where are you going?
Will you not consider your true feelings?
Even in the torturous heat, he continues fostering,
Taking care of the plants feeling,
Even when they seem to be ignoring,
Even when they seem unmindful to his tending,
Hoping that eventually flowers will start blooming,
Thinking of a peaceful evening
Where the plants are cool and give off clean air,
Where the water flows in it’s naturally stream,
Imagining spring,
Where we settle and bask with contentment and ease,
So everyday he gambles, fighting against his lowly stature,
Though clueless of what tomorrow might bring,
The lowly farmer, enlivening the harsh grounds,
Even when luck is not on his side,
He keeps trying whilst withstanding the pain,
So that none can ask him,
“Why didn’t you keep trying?”
The rest depends on the Praised one,

The One who gives life and death to everyone

Have a little...

The whisperings, the insinuating, in a dark room blessed with a hint of silence, though it keeps speaking, evoking, advocating, that is the curse of being a human being, though the soul that is strengthen by his own calling, protects him from all the conniving brought by the whisperings that constantly tries to weaken him. The battle ensuing, as long as his heart is firm in believing, it won’t be easy to fool him. Though a fool himself, a fool too can be granted with profound intelligence and wisdom; One that sees through from within and through his therein.

Oh you who love, don’t you see that he does not intent to leave you behind? Open up your mind, why think with logic when life itself has no logic? In matters such as this, a rationale mind will only quiver in embarrassment for failing to digest what the heart is unrelentingly, persistently in insisting. Why not Do both? Have faith and have intelligence/logic, though know that you have just a little of both. Just a little of both... Verily what can a human do on his own?, when his senses are unreliable and his mode of thinking changes as certain as how the tides in the seas changes, When even the slightest change in the air can suffocate him to death, when even a few drops of liquid can lead him to his end—what are you so sure of, when tomorrow what it brings, we don’t know of? Have a little more faith and a little more faith and a little more. What are you so afraid of? Won’t you have a loving company that will embrace you and erase you fears...so what you are afraid of?

The dark room, now well lit, he is able to see many things that he wasn’t able to. His whisperings now reduced to weak whimpering, for evil can’t penetrate a protected being, when the heart is filled with love for the architect who created all things, to what avail will the plotting of the creations affect him? Have a little faith and a little more faith perhaps a leap of faith. Why? For what good is worshipping the own mind and putting trust in a weak and constantly changing mind? One who knows his mind, will admit how fickle, inconsistent, erratic, indecisive, unreliable and changeable the mind is. So know yourself, oh you who love, have faith. Silence the whisperings, incorporate peace in the heart by supplementing love for the Creator in your heart.

Nice. Niceness an epidemic, a widespread endemic affecting the whole of mankind, giving birth to an origin of people who thrive on kindness; Propagandas and conspiracies no more prevalent,  rekindling and returning the world to an age of sincerity, where people live together in harmony.
Have you something positive like strawberries? The blue sky, the sun that shines, the birth of a child, a little bird drawing nectar from a flower, the pleasant scent that emits from a flower tree, a warm fire, a really good sleep, mountains that are filled with trees and wild blooms, former enemies giving in and becoming friendly, the seas are free of rubbish and contaminants, the minds of man overly- zealous  with the love of nature, no more petty disputes sparked by jealousy, pleasantries’ akin to      a bird chirping joyously atop of a fruit tree. The end of poverty, no more judgmental incendiaries, Hope, happy families, happiness and world peace, no more greed, all minds and hearts…in ease.

Where are you going?

When the troubled mind has been engulfed with stressors and anxieties, the diseased heart suddenly begins to speak in a tone which brings about thoughts that spew negativities. It says things that no one needs; an uninvited guest that creeps in unnoticed. A mouthpiece that wouldn't leave one in peace, it comes up with outrageous speeches one that won’t stop whispering into man’s heart, one that would eventually grant way to a malicious path. The world exponentially getting sicker and bleaker, mankind in a state of constant bicker, one that consumes the soul of the weaker—when man has forgotten his Maker he turns into a forlorn creature. Nay! I shall not be consumed by the world’s abuse of power. What a strange start to the New Year, the weather has turned cold while every morning I shiver yet the blessings of the rain are yet to fall unto the grounds. What are you doing? To where are you heading? Things are changing; signs are showing; still we remain consumed with the smaller picture. Lo! Let it be not the day we open our eyes—is the day the soul exits the body.

My-My

Oh my! Here I am again at this juncture, ruptured,
The organ torn asunder,
Hey! However, it hasn't surrendered
Fuming by the hands that torched it
Though the water cools it
I have a bad strain at the back of my neck; one would say most certainly it is caused by stress.
Oh my! The deprivation of sleep is haunting my thoughts and making me more and more insecure
Oh my! Didn’t I safeguard myself from dropping flat on my face again?
My-my one can never be too sure, can we?
Lost and wandering, the vagabond still in a state of seeking
Seeking serenity,
he goes through trials and thorns and faces things that pierces his entirety
Still! He embarks on a journey to find the truth hidden,
He travels carefully and in a state of pain and fear,
Unsure of what else might transcend…

Oh my!

p.s. I almost forgot, Happy New Year!

Komuniti

And of the people is he who worships Allah on an edge. If he is touched by good, he is reassured by it; but if he is struck by trial, he turns on his face [to the other direction]. He has lost [this] world and the Hereafter. That is what is the manifest loss. Surah Al-Haj 22.11

The Diamond

I met a diamond in the rough; it was deeply clenched by the hand of a hard rock and had other rock-like stains plastered on it. As soon as my eyes fell onto it my heart too fell for it; for I realized the purity that lies within it, Now engrossed with passion and fuelled by determination, eager I am to sculpt the diamond and make it pure and polish it to its fullest potential. Alas, sadly and unfortunately the stubborn rock that clasped it thought it was the possessor of the diamond and clasped it even more tightly. The rock then said, “you’re not good enough to even lay eyes one the diamond!”  Ignoring the rock’s cry, I tried to get the diamond away from the rock, though every time I do so I get pushed backwards violently by the rock. Now the diamond too is confounded by the rock that has been clenching it ever since it knew life. The diamond now perplexed and uncertain.

Though engulfed by dark clouds and though, weak and poor and unpolished myself;

even without any tools I would use my bare hands to unearth the diamond from the rock. For the diamond deserves to be loved, to be in ease and has the right to breathe the free breeze.

Now that is odd. I always thought, I’d remain young but without me noticing, through all the sleeping and waking up I am no longer a kid. As I look at my hands pushing against the keys on the keyboard. I am not sure if they’re starting to wrinkle but still I think, I couldn’t possibly age beyond this. Every tomorrow is a day I keep growing; only in this case, I am growing old. I guess it is safe to say no one entertains the possibility of death while he is as ignorant as I am.
End of another year. The breeze moves the leaves gently, they seemed to be designed perfectly as they fluttered beautifully. Conjuring up  a picture of how people are akin to leaves, the branches akin to countries and the tree akin to the world. All three have one thing in common, though their time of death different, all are bound to perish gradually.

Poor

Poor.
Meager, inadequate, hunger, insignificant, weak, destitute, disfavored and unnoticed
Pour not a little love that originates from pure character?
Have you ever known poor?
A child that looks at other children in wonder, smiling helplessly at their grandeurs
Do you know what it means to be poor?
A life that has been decided in the household one was born into
Have you ever been poor?
Disrespected and hated by the closest family members and complete strangers
Do you know what it means to suffer?
When all you feel is fear
Have you known what education is?
Being deprived from it because one’s family was too poor to pay for it
Had you known what is terror?
Being stepped on and constantly feeling threatened
Do you know what life is like for the poor?
.
.
.
Suddenly in the pitch darkness of the night,
 The morning sun shone bright
It directed its light, causing comfort to reign over the whispering darkness
It spoke; do not fret for as long as the heart is clear, victory is near,
The trees then gently swaying, they said, be patient dear, do not fear, and take refuge in our cover
The blue sky too smiled, it said, what if not temporal, keep steadfast and soon you will be breaking your fast.
So did the vast ocean, serenading with its gentle waves, mesmerizing making his heart feel at ease, till he felt as if he was poor no more.
The ocean then said, should you not then be grateful?
don’t be overcome with sadness and forget your senses.
For this will pass and I will pass and you and everything else will pass
Don’t you know what life is?
Overcoming tests, being a grateful being and in humility attaining wisdom.
Do you know who the poorest are?
Those with too many desires, those who forget what they have while being engrossed in their desires
Do you know who the richest are?

Those who are grateful for what they have.

Vagabond

Like the keyboard is to the computer,
Like the fingers are to the keyboard,
Like the bees are to the flowers,
Like the ant who is infatuated by a particle of sugar,
Like love is to the heart,
One can go on and on with similes, metaphors and figure of speeches,
Akin to a kind heart that enlivens a sore one,
Patience that projects beauty,
Such is the value of the heart I am blessed to save guard,
The vagabond now no longer a vagrant.

Purpose.

To me, this is one of those awkward moments where words and ideas shuts itself from coming out. Though this responsibility-like feeling on not wanting to leave this blog sphere abandoned for too long without any updates compels one to somewhat push the words out rather forcibly but at the same trying to arrange it neatly. The self refuses to speak of itself and closes the curtains from being studied by curious eyes. Yet when an out-pour of expression—of any kind is involved it does give out a thing or two, sometimes even more.

One minute the sun shines bright, making everyone smile the next minute the sun pushes it and causes man to whimper and as usual whine about the discomfort of the heat that had been produced. One minute the rain falls down like the blessing it is, wets the ground, nourishes the green and creates a creek, a stream, a pond, a bay and a water source to drink from. The next it pours down a storm and causes worry and when it continues pouring no man-made drainage system is able to stop it from flooding.

Man a sensitive creature, it shouldn’t be too hot neither should it be too cold. It shouldn’t be too nice, shouldn’t be too evil; shouldn’t be too this nor too that. He lives his life trying to find what makes him feel the best, yet he dies not knowing that acceptance was always best for him.

Though, when some might dream of bigger things, some dream of better feelings, when some might dream of gaining prestige, some thinks of attaining peace, when some might dream of all the things that society deems, a few would dream of the requirements to attain the purest of love form. When some is able to notice it and see it, most are engulfed by the rat-race, the traffic jams, the chopping down the trees, and the cutting down the mountains and the blatant act of attaining more and more wealth to secure this delusional pretence of security. Verily, if only some could see.

The flower so generous, it livens the mood, brighten the eyes, the trees so compassionate, exhales oxygen, provides shade and yields all kinds of fruits to man, the vegetation’s nutritious, nourishes the man, the river, the sea, the air we breathe…yet man, he destroys the mountains and pollutes the seas, cuts down the trees to give way for posh buildings not meant for no animals nor all people.

So much has he whined about and for so long but to no avail; yet it acts as a reminder to himself, year after year how has his thoughts have changed. When he comes back another year, he might notice some differences in his stand. That being said, he fears he becomes one of those inconsiderate human beings he so vehemently speaks badly about.  L

The bright morning has turned sour
The sourly orange changes the face sour
Depletion of hope turns the heart sour
The hopeful garden starts to wither
Man has also recovered
Yet the scars
When looked at the reflection of the mirror
Makes a painful reminder
Will the purity of the soil ever recover?
Throngs and throngs of the pessimistic armies appeared
The soldiers’ steadfast and pledged allegiance
To provide anger and lasting malignant thoughts
One that makes a man eventually shrink into a dried up lifeless form
Optimism where are your grounds?
Positivity, will you come and bond!?

Understanding an Understatement

As the sun fades, I hoped for the heat to give way, better still go away, yet it remained still, I give into sweet cold drinks, they provide the shortest amount of relief, immediately I was angered with this ill fate, like what life has taught, accept and take it in, withstand the pain for your solution lingers in disdain.

After some minutes the heat didn’t seem to be steadfast in torture, I was surprised as to how strongly and committed I felt about my feelings in regards to the heat and now that the heat wasn’t to be felt as much. I was relieved and I began to even feel sleepy. At the same time I was troubled as to how I felt so strongly as if nothing else mattered but the agitating heat I felt—contributed by the surrounding or the weather. Perhaps I should’ve just took a more nonchalant attitude and not be bothered so much. Why was I so bothered when if I wasn’t bothered it wouldn’t have been so bothersome and now I am angry at myself and that is bothersome.

The uncertainty of what tomorrow brings and the threat that it might bring about idleness that brings about darkness and causes the brain to come to a halt and drowns one back into abyss of negativity is surely burdensome to the mind and keeps it busy with a pungent scent of paranoia.

‘The ice cream looks good, but it also causes weight gain.’ This is my thought when I am standing in front of an ice cream box.

I also worry about the well being of my plants and trees. Not that I care for them too much, I wish to see them blossom healthily with bright leaves and bear sweet flowers and fruits. I don’t know if I am just being selfish.

The darkness of night always majestically taunting, the darkness of night always mesmerizing, the darkness is feared because so little is to be known of it, darkness is revered for the comfort it brings. So little is known of it, what can I expect to know from a black space, just when I close my eyes all that I could see is a black wide space. Though when it is closed the mind then plays this game of confusing one and tricking one into dreams that once again appears significant and realistic, as if it matters. In the end I open my eyes due to the sound of the clock only to realize the life I was so passionate about was nothing but a specter of a dream. This life too will end with me opening my eyes to the light.

I can once again feel the heat returning, the music as soothing as it sounds is not helping, my face appears to be frowning. I don’t know if I can take this feeling nonchalantly.

When my memories go back to the time I was shaped, when my memories go back to when I was a kid, I notice how it was molded and shaped. It was inevitable this fate, though all my thoughts could muster up is unfortunate.

I keep on fretting yet I know I could know of nothing, I keep on worrying, though it might seem like it amounts to nothing, yet worrying keep things flowing. Most of the time it’s just trying and tiring.
It is getting too heated, my body seems like it’s being mistreated, the soul feels like it’s being violated,  it feels like being boiled on the stove where the fire is at its slowest. *goes to shower* Now that I am back from the shower, I feel so much at ease, I feel sleepy once again.

I am the only person who understands myself, yet I understand myself so poorly.

The Intellect

“He who does not worship God worships himself through the capability of his intellect to what its exposed to; he remains in the dark/ignorant to what he does not know or comprehend and arrogant to everyone else, such is the intellect.”

p.s. I don't remember where I got this from. I wrote this down in my book a long time back and found it again today. I don't think I am capable of coming up with this level of phrases hence I must've gotten it from a book. I like it because it makes a lot of sense to me.

Humming the Hums of Humility & of Inequity

Glimpses of heavenly abode appears welcoming ahead
The back of his head being punctured by the swollen nodes
The only choice left is to embrace and withstand the painful nodes.

The couple stared ahead trying to speculate what endeavors they might have to face…
Trying to gain strength as they hope optimistically
Their eyes swimming the vastly sea

The tiny grains of sand that makes the beach
The bubbles that are found on the shores at the beaches
The vastness of what lies in between, ahead, before and after
Of what is more and beyond one’s reaches
Reminds one of the amount of knowledge in one’s possessesion
Making one shudder at the knowledge that is remoteness
He keeps on saying, ‘Our intelligence is very-very limited!’
He then added, ‘even our senses, they lie to us!’
‘Yet, we are so self assured of our intelligence and our senses.’
Surely we have reached a consensus?

He feels his spirit shrinking into depletion
Weak, numb and dumb, always on the edge
Afraid as he is weak,
Agitated as he is conscious of his intelligence
Shallow as he is constantly threatened by challenges
Calmness why not come pay a visit?

The world is certainly small in comparison to the universe
If we were to conduct a comparison sort of an experiment
Of how minute we are
Don’t go there, it makes the mind bleed
When one heeds of how truly tiny he is
The shallow people are overwhelmed with greed
He is greedy for wisdom
But poor is his kingdom
Overcome by boredom
Time is wasted on empty notions
This reminds him of the many nations
Those who are in power
Wicked and evil, condescending towards the nations and its people
Then this naturally gives birth to variances
Where then bloodshed becomes common
No matter how sad and indignant
To be grateful and thankful must become prominent
For we are ever unaware of when our little haven of abode will give welcome to destruction
And the fire of destruction will wipe away both our dreams and afflictions
Our entire existence then comes to a standstill
It is time for retribution, one that corresponds to our deeds and actions

Requiem for A Brim

The world so pretty
The creatures so busy
No time for worry
The banks are in a hurry
Through the drains and the rivers,
Alas, they have corrupted the seas
Greed even affects the mountains and greeneries
Giving mountains destructed bit by bit to erect buildings and wealth of the so called ‘elites’
Such is the state and such is the earth and such are people
Endangered are values
Almost in extinction are thoughtfulness and simplicity
Let us all just go to sleep
Who knows in our dreams there will be some peace
Let us all just go to sleep
Who knows by the time we wake up the air would be cleaner and devoid of selfishness
Let us all just remain sleeping
By the time we wake up, it would already be the time of reckoning

Open your eyes before your heart stop beating

Sunday Mourning

The heart that weeps
Able to relate to the sound of despair
Listening to the tune that resonates a sordid pain
A tale of struggle that lacks progress
A surreal expression
A story of bleak depictions
Beautifully told,
One similar soul relates to another
Seeking comfort in one's suffering
A gentle story with a grotesque narrator
A plot that brings about cringes
Yet at the same time,
Strangely it soothes
A bond is created
A deep sense of pain beautifully depicted
An understading created
The complexity of the heart deciphered

Understanding sadness emanates happiness

Wildfire

There is a wildfire, it has now made the street dustier and smokier, yet they keep on burning the forest without a second thought, there is a wildfire, it causes my nose to cry and dry and when there is no moisture, there is a feeling of hurt when the process of inhale and exhale takes place, as I continue to inhale and exhale in discomfort, it’s as if as long as the discomfort was felt it was cursing the people who were reaping the benefits out of this wildfire.  There is a wildfire, the haze as an affect causes a splendid terror; my eyes burns, bleeds tears of helplessness and anger. Which wealthy person’s pockets are being filled with euro dollars?! What a challenge and a test it is to be weak and poor, the poor chap has not known justice nor did his parents mentioned anything about justice, it was only known to him via tales that were written in books. What a challenge it is to be weak and have no control over oneself he only has the choice on how to accept the consequences. What a challenge it is to be weak, when someone else gets to determine the condition and the weather. Such is the state of the world. There is a wildfire, we live in a country which is rich in nature, yet as rich as it is, it is nevertheless limited not limitless! It will soon be depleted, yet these crazy people crazed with power they keep on cutting our resources, what will happen to the clean air and clean water, live stocks and vegetation? Don’t they know that neither currency nor gold can buy air and water? Can their money cause trees to grow or flowers to bloom? Obviously they do but what they care for is the wildfire, one that resides within their hearts, one that causes them to stir and deter others.  There is a wildfire; artificial rain can’t seem to stop the vengeful wildfire. There is a wildfire, one that is made of anger, one that hopes for change and just rulers. There is a wildfire, one that consists of calm in the realms of terror. There is a wildfire, one that stands firm and is filled with love that has overcome all barriers.

Rantrantrant

I have this habit of inappropriately getting sick during festive seasons. I am now recovering from a fever which has lasted for two week, give or take. It wasn’t fun to say the least. However judging from my sickness which lasted for quite a long period, I feel so much more overjoyed! and so much more grateful for being healthy again albeit not a 100%. I was back at work last week and that too wasn’t fun because I was as you would’ve guessed, not feeling well. Another thing I’ve learnt was the deed one does in routine/everyday somewhat halts/comes to a stop when one is stricken by (in my case) sickness.

Which reminded me of this quote, "Take advantage of five matters before five matters:  youth, before old age; health, before sickness; wealth before poverty; your free time before you become busy; and life, before death."   This quote makes so much more sense now. Let’s just hope it stays longer in memory.

Being absent minded and taking things too easily can be life risking. Yesterday, I said to myself that I’d be useful and get some things done. With that in mind, I started cleaning my aquariums and pond. There was one particular aquarium that stood out because it was literally yellow in colour. I drained the water out, cleaned the filter and everything in it and started filling it with water. Only that I forgot to fill the aquarium with aquarium salt/ liquid C02. To put it short my negligence had led to the death of several fishes. Out of guilt and exhaustion, I was considering a different hobby.

I thought I got thinner, today whilst I was putting on my pants I was greeted by a surprise I wasn’t as thin as I thought I’d be.  It’s funny while you’re fasting the thought of eating doesn’t cross the  mind but when you’re not every idle moment wishes to be filled by chewing something or drinking something nice and sweet and cold. Alas, the desires of mankind.

Recently, I was fortunate enough to purchase a new cpu, it has now made life so much easier and convenient. Only bad thing is, I spent way too much time now watching animes and other entertainment shows. This in turn prevents me from doing more necessary and important stuffs like studying and house chores.

Lastly, I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Eid. Plant more trees, please.

Of explanation/s

Judging from my previous entries, one might think that your humble writer might be hating on the rich. Truth be said, neither does he hate rich people nor does he dislike wealth (duh!). Many of my friends too are people who are well off. Also. I’ve recently have with my own eyes come to know many generous rich old chaps who assist and help organizations and needy people. A respected scholar I know said, “We compliment each other, the rich needs the religious and the religious needs the rich.” He also added that it is always better to give people the benefit of the doubt. Still, whenever I think of the oil rich Arab countries and compare them to African countries or other Asian countries. It just makes one go, “Hope for humanity…*Poof*”

Having said that let me explain myself; what I have a deep dislike for is the arrogance, the misuse of power, the special treatment, the disparity, unfairness, capitalization and the list just goes on. Still, if only the poor stop betraying the poor and stop preferring the rich to their own kind, things would be so much better. It is also the delusion of the poor who thinks by helping the rich, he too might get wealthier hence he betrays his own kind. Alas we are often cursed with a hollow mindset. Again, I don’t dislike money, I dislike the effect money brings to people. It changes them into monsters. Let us hope and pray that we don’t swerve and turn our backs from humanity and from being human and humane if were to ever obtain wealth.

Recently From an entry of mine, I’ve been getting some feedbacks that made certain individuals think that I am against earning a living or something (Yes, there are humans who read my work). To that I say, I waste too much money on things I don’t really need hence that makes me ‘pro-living’?

Finally, amongst the the things I wholeheartedly despise, is the demented delusion people have or are programmed to believe that wealth = happiness. To that I say, well I don't want to say anything because what I say has no substance neither weight. Let's look at the bright side and hope we all become brighter both outwardly and inwardly.

p.s. This is a good clip to watch:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crLeD6RdhBQ

Richer, please...

Isn't it pretty simple? It’s not impossible to comprehend, it is actually pretty obvious, no? Let us just ponder for a second; bear with me, don’t be biased yet, just let your thoughts flow a little deeper. Forget about society and its mandates. Think about it, the richer an individual is the more selfish and careless he is about others?

Why do we look up to such people, worst still why do we aspire to be like them? Let us look at the present and let us also look at the pages of history; these people we look-up at and aspire to become are known for their arrogance and evil deeds. Still we think this is success and this is happiness.

If it really means that, then why are the rich after achieving all the riches in the world, still not happy? Worse still they become greedier, evil-er and more arrogant and inhumane towards others? Yet, still I have the desire to gain more…such is the weak, easily swayed human man.

There is something very wrong with us, with our society and with the world; that we aspire to become the worst kind of people in existence...We aspire to become the likes of Pharaohs.

Ialmost forgot, this was one of the main contributing factors of this spontaneous/unplanned entry. Do watch it and perhaps you too will be enraged and then saddened and after that feel utterly hopeless...

Young Man

Time and time again
Like the needles on a clock
Almost like a mechanical device
We walk by life
We continue to age whilst in a daze
Feelings of numbness clench the senses

 Life in the past,
No matter how wounded and battered the memories
Is now history only the pain of it subsists,
They then in some cases change your individuality,
You’re not who you used to be
The stage that we withstood
The stage we misunderstood
In the cage where we came of age
Still we remain in continuous daze
A chase for happiness that leads only to loneliness
We gaze and captured the beauties in life,
Though it gave us some happiness,
The feeling of that joy eventually fades…
Who knew one would mature and come of age
He ages in stages, physically he changes
His hair are white, knees are weak,
Yet mentally and spiritually he speaks,
The language of adolescent kids
Unlike his physical growth, spiritually he depletes
He remains with the same dreams that he dreamt of when we was in his teens
Stuck in a trap and perpetually sinking, like in a quicksand, he is steadily pulled in
Now old, he thinks he has conquered wisdom
Possessor of knowledge and a ruler of kingdoms
Though when he is alone by himself
A realization comes to mind
It says, “All the time you’ve spent,
What has it yield?”

In spite of all this he continues to waste his time
He regrets for not doing more
Yet he persist in misusing his time
The world, a temporal stage
So real, so surreal,
Seemingly eternal, obviously temporal
As he grows in age, death too draws closer
Health seem more obscure
Time seems more difficult to procure
Desires and gaining honour seems like the only doors
All these things he bought and got bored
Bought and got bored
Now that he’s old,
He thinks of how he should’ve ploughed his life
In a more meaningful manner
As to remain calm and with peacefulness in all matters
Though he is full off regrets
Hope yet remains there
Sadly old habits too remain
A young man today,
Old tomorrow
